October Blessings

My dad’s birthday in October, so it’s always been a birthday month in my family.

Dad taught me many things (learning how to drive) and has always been supportive. He’s not a big reader, but when my books came out, he read them. He has a joke or funny story for any situation, and he has the gift of being able to talk to anybody. He was my first October blessing.

Two years ago, our first grandson was born in October. Cameron makes us smile, and he loves spending time playing cars with my husband.

Our third October blessing was born a few days ago in Texas. We haven’t met Zane yet, but we’re already in love with the little guy.

Psalm 126:3 says, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

Yes, as you can see I have much to be joyful for.

It’s hard to believe we’ve come to the beginning of October. We’re in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The temperatures are beginning to drop, the leaves are turning and falling to the ground. October is the time for bonfires, pumpkins, and trick-or-treat. It’s time to drink apple cider, visit apple orchards, and display colorful mums. I hope October will be kind to you.

Happy October, my friends!
