When you think of Christmas flowers, what comes to mind?

Or course, poinsettias are popular. If you’re thinking romance, mistletoe probably comes to mind.

My husband proposed to me before Christmas, and he hid the ring in the tree. So, I’m all in favor for romance at Christmas time.
But, this post is about Christmas flowers.
Emma Justice is the amateur sleuth in Weeding Out Lies and Clover Covered Corpse, and she’s a flower farmer. So, she has a couple of suggestions.

Besides Christmas trees, do you decorate with plants during the holidays?
If you’d like to get to know Emma Justice better, she’s the amateur sleuth in A Texas Flower Farmer Cozy Mystery Series.

I didn’t know what the Christmas cactus was called, but I think they’re such a cool plant. I remember one year my mother decorated with poinsettias and kept the healthiest of the bunch. It grew for years–big and leafy and wonderful!

Ooo, I want to hear more about your ring hidden in the Christmas tree. Did you find it quickly? Did you need hints to locate it? Was it in a box or an ornament? Good scenario for a romance story! I received flowers for Thanksgiving, which made a lovely decoration on the holiday table.

Hi Sherida,
It took me a bit to find it because I was too excited to focus. It was in the box, and the box was propped on a branch.
Thanksgiving flowers sound very nice.
