By now, you must know how much I like Texas. I had visited a few times before 2017, and it seemed nice. I liked it fine.
Then one of my sons and daughter-in-law moved to Waco. That’s when I really learned about the great state of Texas and the friendly people. I also met Joanne and Chip Gaines via HGTV, and I had to visit the Silos.

I enjoyed my trips to Texas so much, I decided to write a book series set in the fictional town of Lutz, Texas.

In Waco, I’ve visited fun coffee shops, bookstores, Spice Village, and many more places.
Last week, I met a delightful lady who had lived near Dallas for a year. She said that it was the worst year of her life, and when her husband’s job ended, they came to South Carolina as fast as they possibly could. Their experience was so bad that her husband said they would never talk about that year ever again.
I smiled. Texas is so huge, and I know every town and city has its own personality. I’m truly sorry she and her family had a terrible experience in Texas, but it’s still very special to me. I do believe this lady and I will become friends, so long as I don’t mention Texas.
Have a great week!
Jackie
